It is only 3 miles to the popular Ocean Point. One of the areas most scenic hiking trails, The Linekin Preserve, is only 2/10ths of a mile away. Also nearby is the Boothbay Country Club, Maine Botanical Gardens, and numerous boat excursions including whale watches, schooners tours and trips to Monhegan Island and Burnt Island Light House. A great home base for daytrips, Rosewater is within an hour's drive of the mid-coast's best attractions.

There is a small parking area that will fit 2 cars that is located by the road. There is a walk of about 45 yds down a gravel path and about 30 stairs to access the cottage.
